Deep Diver PADI

The lure of the deep. There's something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. Sometimes it's a wreck that attracts you below 18 metres/60 feet, and on wall dives it may be a giant fan or sponge. Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 metres/130 feet, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.

If you've earned the PADI Adventure Diver rating or higher, and you're at least 15 years old, you can enroll in the Deep Diver course.

What are you going to learn?

Along with reviewing reasons for deep diving and the importance of knowing your personal limits, you'll learn about:

- Specialized deep diving equipment.

- Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures, safety considerations and buoyancy control

- Managing your gas supply and dealing with gas narcosis..

After you get certificated with the PADI Open Wateropen-water-diver-padi/open-water-diver-padi/ Diver, you can continue your training with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

If you´re short of time you can discover the underwater world with the Discover Scuba Diving or the Cenote Discover Diver.

Dive in Mahahual

Healthy reefs and the atoll are home to a variety of tropical species. You will be able to observe lobsters, groupers, rays, sergeants majors and hundreds of colorful fish.

French Angelfish and Queen Angelfish are among the many fish you will see. Nurse sharks relax in the tunnels and caverns, and barracudas stalk their prey in and out of the colorful coral. Loggerhead, green, and hawksbill turtles are frequently seen in the area, and groupers live among the reefs.

As a real treat, you can also have the opportunity to snorkel with crocodiles and American manatees in the shallow waters of Banco Chinchorro.
